County, North Carolina This apparently was North Carolina historian Hugh T.
Lefler's copy, with his name on the verso of the front free endpaper. All six
authors and the illustrator have autographed the book on the half-title page. At
the bottom of the title page is a rubber- stamped "First Edition" and below
that, the number 164, written in ink. (Forsyth County, Americana)
